This course was held on the weekend of the 28th to 30th May, 2004, and the course tutor was Pat Bennett, who was helped by Bill Devereux. Participants learnt about:
- building nestboxes for garden birds, which could be fitted with small video cameras for recording the activity inside.
- recording birdsong and playing it back, in order to lure birds closer.
- preparing ground for footprints, and how to recognize prints made by various forms of wildlife.
- badgerwatching, on the Saturday evening.
Unfortunately, the badgers were not inclined to be sociable, and none were seen on Saturday evening - which is right and proper for anyone's first badger-watch! However, we enjoyed a beautiful evening, listening to the life of a Cheshire woodland going on around us.
